Depends on when summer starts where you are.

Short answer is no. Drink clean spirits (gin, vodka), do starting strength (heavy lifting 3 days a week), halve your caloric intake 1 day per week, replace breakfasts with a whole fruit shake with some whey powder, do some cardio or just walk 5-10 miles on your rest days and weekends, and you will see aesthetic improvements. You won't be shredded by beach time, but you'll have a swole dad bod at worst.

I lost 40+ pounds a few years ago after letting myself go completely. I was able to get it off in about 3.5 months, but I worked out twice a day, 6 days a week and ate almost nothing but chicken, fish, veggies, moderate fruit, and 1-2 gallons of water a day. It was pure hell.

Yes, that's the roadmap, but I don't recommend starting out doing that right away. I started doing 2-a-days almost immediately, but that's mainly because I've been working out and lifting over 10+ years and just happened to stop and got fat during a time when I was dealing with a medical issue.

You may get stretch marks, but to decrease your chances of getting them, make sure you keep your skin moist (use lotion often), make sure you take a quality Multi and fish oil, and drink plenty of water.

Yes, brother.

1) spend first two weeks with light weights and cardio (dont injure yourself and get muscles ready)

2)calorie deficit of 500 a day (3500 a week is one lbs lost). Google maintenance calories. its easy to figure out.

3) cut out shit food but up your protein. if you really want it then I recommend 16hr fast to start day. (google martin berkhan and leangains if interested)

4) after first two weeks start lifting heavy. compound lifts like squat, deads, press, bench, chin ups. do a 5x5/starting strength/madcow, etc... type of thing. bodybuilding.com is ok for this information.

5) enjoy. if you treat it as a fun stress reliever, or way to hang with your bros then this will be fun. if you treat it as a job it will suck.

a quick litmus test for your genetic worth is measuring your wrist x height - this will tell you your overall body frame and historic serum testosterone, bigger/taller the better

you said you're fat+weak, if you are actually skinnyfat with the skeleton of a 12 year old girl and zero musculature (high inserting muscles with loads of "gaps", subpar muscle bellies full of sarcoplasmic scar tissue instead of myofibrilar) this probably means your genetics were never really cut out for being a stud, and pushing 40 you probably have a herculean effort ahead of you to get in any sort of shape

again this is all dependent on your genetics, you might be a HALE as FUCK strongfat guy under 100lbs who just hasnt touched a weight in 20 years but idk
